Happy New Year!

2011 has made it's way here, and as promised, I am starting a blog.  For my New Year's resolution, I gave myself the option of either writing in a blog or training for a half marathon, as those were the two cool things that all of my friends are doing.  So, here I am, sitting on my rear end typing away.  I'm telling myself I'll do the other one as soon as I find a workout buddy...we'll see how that one turns out.

A little about myself:  28 year old single, working female.  I want to say lady, but that makes me sound more like I'm 68.  I just made the big move from East Tennessee to West Tennessee for work and to get a little closer to my close knit extended family.  Think "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" meets "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."  Yeah, that kind of family.  My dad's nickname is "Sparky" for a reason.

So, I've got a new start with a new job, new city, and new possibilities.  It's equally exciting and scary, but there's something about letting go and trusting my maker that is really freeing.  I don't know what to expect, and I'm going to do my best to jump in with an open mind and open hands.   If the future is anything like the past, I'll probably have a song in my head.  It'll be one of those really annoying catchy ones that I can't get out of my head until I sing it.  Gonna dance a blue streak around my livin' room...

  1. First to comment, booyah.

I wish I had time to blog more. The entries I have written in the past are almost all about sports, so they aren't interesting to everyone.
